Hi there!
My name is Nick Bondi and I am a media and content specialist. I can produce compelling content across all formats, whether that be audio, written or visual. The vast majority of my experience comes in the realm of sports, whether that is professional or amateur.
I started off contributing to The Peak, the student newspaper at Simon Fraser University. After a year I was hired as Sports Editor, extensively covering the only NCAA school in Canada. I wrote about all of SFU athletics, including helping uncover inappropriate conduct by the men’s basketball coach. I graduated in 2017 with a BA in Communications with a minor in Publishing.
After graduating, I freelanced at Daily Hive Vancouver before being hired at BC Sports Hub. Initially brought in as a Staff Writer, I wrote recaps for every game at the 2018 BC Girls and Boys Basketball Provincial Tournament. I also helped produce feature videos on teams and players in the BC high school basketball and football communities, coordinating shoot times and helping create graphics to promote our content.
In May of 2019, I was promoted to Managing Editor and Executive Producer of BC Sports Hub. I helped Coordinate the in-house media coverage of BballNationals, a national club basketball tournament held at the Langley Events Centre. I then ran the publication’s coverage of the high school basketball and football seasons, helping freelancers get in contact with people whose stories were important to the community as well as continuing to create written and visual content of my own. I currently host a podcast for SB Nation entitled Power Of The Towel, a Vancouver Canucks podcast part of the Nucks Misconduct network.
I’m available for anything from social media needs, copywriting, photography, graphic design, communications work, and videography needs. Feel free to reach me via email at nick.bondi66@gmail.com or via Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn.
Thanks!
